Two Little Doves lost one of our own. I witnessed

Two Little Doves lost one of our own. I witnessed Uriel's growth alongside my son Brandon, as our families were neighbors from ages 3 to around 8 or so. Throughout those years, they were inseparable, playing outside every day and playing countless soccer games together. A little over two years ago, Uriel joined us at Two Little Doves, and he began working with us on weekends. As we worked side by side, I had the privilege of getting to know Uriel as a young adult. Much like his childhood self, he remained kind, respectful, and an incredibly motivated and a diligent worker. We often talked about his hustle, saying, "Uriel, do you know of any other guys who work as hard as you? Bring them along!"

My weekends were largely spent with him. He became my road companion, and during our many hours on the road, we discussed life, his aspirations, and dreams for the future. Given his closeness in age to Brandon, I felt a maternal role in his life, ensuring he was enrolled in classes on time and keeping up with his responsibilities.

The news of his accident left us heartbroken and devastated. The injustice of such a tragic event happening to such a wonderful, kind, and promising young man breaks me to pieces.

I’m sharing this to try to get whatever help we can for his family. 💔
